Sometimes when Hermana Zavala and I are walking I think to myself. Wow,
we are two 19 year old girls who live in Honduras and walk around every single
day. But then I always think that we are not just walking around, we are trying
to walk in the light of the Lord and trying to invite and help others walk with
us.
This week, we walked all over the place searching for new investigators.
Some days there is a lot of rejection and my comp is having a hard time with it
but I just keep telling her that when we keep walking and keep smiling and keep
enduring to the end, that's when we will find the people who are truly ready to
hear this gospel.
We found an awesome new family this week. They are young but super nice
and sweet. They are super accepting too but there is only one problem. They are
not married so we have to work on that but I know Heavenly Father will help
us!!!
We also journeyed to Danli to go to una conferencia de las hermana. Our
hermana entrenadoras gave us a great message and after we went to eat at this
taco stand. Best tacos and quesadillas ever! They were so delicious! Hermana
Zavala and I wanted to buy like 10 to take home with us. But we didn't. haha
One of the highlights of my week was visiting Hermano Elio (who was
recently baptized) ! He told us about how one of his coworkers told him the
church was false and a ton of awful things. But he told us that he stood up for
the church and always will. It is so great and so exciting seeing him progress
in the gospel and strengthen his testimony. It brought me so much joy to see
him tell us about how excited he was to stand up for the church!
Also, another highlight was seeing another investigator, Hermano Oscar,
super happy when he told us that he had only smoked 2 cigarettes during the
day. When we found him he smoked 15 a day and we have been working with him to
stop his addiction! With diligence and perseverance, we can truly change our
habits with the Lord's help and through the Atonement.
Everyday has its ups and downs but I know that as we continue to walk in
the light of Christ, our joy will be made full and we will be instruments to do
much good!
Keep on Smiling,
Hermana Bodine
Ps. Pictures! These are the sisters in Danli!!!

We decided to have a little picnic with Hermana Isabel!
We
made jugo de tamarind!!! It is delish and my favorite juice these days!
